Beekeeping and The 3 Beez
Salem AlOumi is a Kuwaiti beekeeper and founder of The 3 Beez, working in apiary management, honey production and public education about beekeeping. A KUNA field report in November 2022 covered his work and honey production from Kuwait's desert pastures.
Experience begins at the apiary
KUNA's reporting and The Scientific Center Kuwait's educational feature place Salem AlOumi in the working environment of an apiary: observing a colony, reading a frame, responding to seasonal conditions and relating forage to the harvest. Experience grows through repeated inspections, notes and decisions as weather and flowering patterns change.
Professional participation beyond the product
In September 2019, KUNA covered Kuwait’s participation at Apimondia in Canada and identified Salem AlOumi at that time as a board member of the Kuwait Beekeepers Association. The participation adds an international milestone to his professional beekeeping journey.
Public education and training
In April 2022, The Scientific Center Kuwait featured Salem AlOumi in its ‘A Day in the Life of a Scientist’ series, introducing the public to a beekeeper's work. In January 2026, he delivered the honey-bee keeping course organized by Kuwait's Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources.
