Beekeeper Salem AlOumi in the Media: A Verified 2016–2026 Timeline

Ten years of interviews, field reports and education, organised by original source and date—from Kuwait Television to The Scientific Center, Kuwait Times and agricultural training—without counting reposts as new appearances.

Verified media milestones in beekeeper Salem AlOumi's public record from 2016 to 2026

How this timeline was built

The aim is not to collect the greatest number of links; it is to build a record a journalist can understand and verify. We selected uploads from the original broadcaster or institution, independent reporting and official result documents. If several sites republished one KUNA report, it remains one original story with mirrors, not five interviews. We also separate interviews, field features, educational events and competition results. Each proves something different: an interview documents a guest's words, reporting adds journalistic observation, and a result establishes a defined class or placing. Dates remain those of the original sources so the archive does not look as though every item was newly produced in 2026.

2016–2019: from explaining the craft to international participation

On 19 January 2016, Salem AlOumi appeared on Kuwait Television’s Good Morning Kuwait. In September 2019, Al-Jarida carried KUNA’s report on Kuwait’s participation at Apimondia in Canada and identified him at that time as a board member of the Kuwait Beekeepers Association. That year, the National Honey Show’s official PDF also recorded two results under his name in honey gift classes. Together, these milestones show a progression from public education to professional participation and recorded results.

2021–2022: a local story and public education

In 2021, beekeeper Salem AlOumi appeared on Kuwait Television's After Six, while Akhbar Al Aan published footage about a home apiary; that feature receives its own article in this library so its source chain and context remain clear. On 4 April 2022, The Scientific Center Kuwait featured him in its educational “Day in the Life of a Scientist” content. On 29 November 2022, KUNA published a feature on Kuwaiti honey, nectar sources and production seasons, subsequently republished by newspapers. This period's value lies in the convergence of broadcast interview, institutional education and news-agency reporting around the same field practice.

2024: a field report, not only a studio interview

On 29 February 2024, Kuwait Times published a field feature accompanying beekeeper Salem AlOumi at an apiary, with photographs of the work, bees and hives. This differs from a studio interview because readers can inspect the setting and compare the production narrative with documentary images. In May, Salem appeared on 360FM's Al-Duha Al-Oud for a longer radio discussion.

2025–2026: from personal story to organised training

In January 2025, Mesyan published a feature on beekeeper Salem AlOumi, while later filmed visits added a behind-the-scenes view of packing. On 5 January 2026, Al-Jarida reported a specialist honey-bee course organised by Kuwait's Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources and delivered by Salem. This is important because it documents knowledge moving into organised training rather than only media appearance. On 27 February 2026, Kuwait Television uploaded a Sidra programme interview about beekeeping and honey production. Where a video upload and companion article have different dates, record both rather than treating them as identical. The timeline ends with the latest source reviewed; it does not claim “continuing to the present” without a live reference.
